Drmmer Dave Hathaway dies age 54

"twas a sad morning on fathers day 2020 when i got a call from Tommy von who said Dave hathgaway had died , I could not believe him I dod npt want to so i texted dave who is speedy with a replay i said " are you dead?" thinking it can not be and no reply so i called his house and spolke to his loively wife Jenine who confirmed it and i was in shock and heart broken still in denial Dave is (* see im Still in denial) theone guy i speak to everyday anbd often the last person i speak to of the day with late night texts and pics of drumsets he got from a craigslist deal ir just funny stuff which he was great at,,, i immediatley felt for his famuily son Brian and daughter Kathryn and wife Jenine. Dave was the sole income earner in the family and i know they did not expect this in any imagintaion gone wild there is a fund me page at the boottom Dave was a n esential part of Ace of Spades the Motorhead tribute ad played on 5 of My Cds BUt he always spoke of the times he perfromed at Rocklohoma with his other band Lickity plit with former pirate guitarist m ichael Hatcher dave was a staplke in the portland music scene and loved by everyhone Roger de Carlo of the band Cruella is oner of many mutual friends Dave was part of the CFR crazy fuckin Rockers attending all the shows that came through Dave loved metal and hard rock but was a serious Grateful deadhead and saw the band many times and recently with John Mayer.

dave just loved ,,, music all kinds and the more obscure the better we went to see gheorge linton a few years back and the fella next to me had a seizure and went down and it was Dave who knew the seci urity Had a flashlight and got the attention of the right people to get him medical attention he was also a stagehand and worked alot of the arena shows and outrdoor gigs lke i did for a short while i knew dave 10 years sylvia Lokey said you should get jamming with Hathaway and she called it riht he was good from day one where me and vido gave him a heat atack the first rehearsal playhi9ng motorhead in the ace of spades tibute g group i had a pickp guig the next night with "Business Suit Guy with Troy tutrznab abd calle dto invite him out and Jenine said you guys pt him in hospital!

the other time i was in disbelief about his status but he recovered stronger than ever and we spent the next 4 years playing everyweekend as ace of spades and a few wild dogs outings his peak erfromance ironically is on the song "The Pain Before You D"ie and apparently he felt none

we say farewll my frined we miss you and will always keep your memory alive, see more of the ace of spades on this site
