LAST EMPIRE

This band sounds like a cross between yngwie orchestrated prog metal music with rob halford or ripper owens screaming his lungs out at full range, never one to be excited by anytihng local but maybe we have a bumper crop of metal that compete on a world level.

Guitarist Pat De Martino who i believe to be the main songwritier in the band has an ncredible knack for creating dramatic and multi sectional pices that are reminiscent of early rising force

VOCALSIT Brian Allen proved himself in a long running priest tribute, BRITISH STEEL as a powerhouse screamer in the high range ala king diamond and rob halford showcased at the beginning of the trilogy of the unicorn in a sustained note that you could go to the lew on.

teh band is a top notch tight unit held together by drummer darius whose kick drums are ever present on the cd much to my liking indeed " definitely iif you like maiden, the technicality of rising force and a singer that really knocks you on yer ass LAST EMPIRE IS A killer band with a great new release on their own label and will also be featured on the usmetal compilation brithers and friends cd.. its real metal, played for the love not the money by guys who play way above the average ,but dont act like "those"kinda guys. just recetly saw the band at a metal show i helped put together that featured THOR, THE MENTORS, LAST EMPIRE, and a band that was made up of entirely of star trek KLINGONS... complete with dark faces and latex apliances. THE MENTORS quite entertaining with an expanded lineup of raperocklin singers, and the almighty canadian THOR was on hand to headline and close the show with a triumphant return to the rose city and agagin bringin withhim feats of magic, and strength and music. bending a steel tang youd make a broadsword out of while holding it in his teeth,..... for one...and more costumes than a touring opera.
