HISTORY 101

When I decided to form a second band, the atmosphere of wild dogs had already deteriorated into whose fault is it that we are not black n blue?(popular metal band on Gefffen form PDX) i decided to form a second band and call it evil genius, with my friend and bro Kip doran which i had actually started back before i did the Malice sessions with deen and kip. tyhat will be forthcoming on a new Komplete Kolektion that fetaures a cd, mp3's mpgs. fotos. bio, foldout sometime i the next year.

after forming a proper band with dual guitarists(ill spare the fetails) we recorded a 9 songs demo, played siome gugsm and we were ALL ABOUT SPINAL TAP.. great music like having 2 michael shenkers in the band. and me up front just singin,so try as we may to get a deal all over the place and no one iis buying the want ME to call the band wild dogs. and at the time i was half in half out so i could nt do that... and we had a NAME! a friuend of the band had a limo service so we always ode to teh gigs in style and he was teh chauffer so we really got to do itup - pulling right ion to the sindealkj the whole rockgod bit

then 5 guys with almost the same haircut*got out in the letahers studs and kmart kiss attire abd went into the gig big clubs little clubs whatever teh deal, we just hated to park down town! so after a no go on the deals i got an offer form mike varney that H'ed put out the album if i changed some lyruics form semi graffik to haomogenised, and get deen to quit wild dogs anbd join tionly macalpine - and he would priovide a guitarist if i couldnt find one. of course none of my choices were good so i was teamed up with a guy who ive now been friends with for 20 years! KURT JAMES and recorded the baisc tracks with a really great playr named ron chick who wrote some of the lead passages. then moved teh entire operation to northern california above teh bay area to priairie sun studios where the bulk of shrpanel records was produced. and finsihed the record there. when it was releases i was the only bassist on teh label and one of teh only artists to have vocals this was during the time my pals the MENTORS and el duce WE were having their go round with the PMRC with dee snider and blackie lawless. The album eventually got alot of coverage on zrock a national radio prgramming station featuring metal the song black leather maniac was in daily rotation and the european version on Roadrunner records became a #1 import in magazines as Kerrang! Aardshok, meanwhile Kurt took u p an offer from a JAPANESE band called rommel who were fans of dr mastermind to come toJAPAN and tour doing many of the songs on teh album- wow that was easy i didnt even have to go~! TEHRE WAS A GUY DRESSED UP LIKE MEIN FACT THESE GIYS ARE REALLY COOL LOOKING! so! Deen, joiined tony macalpine , moved to san francisco, hooked up with neal schon and dumped macalpine for a high paying gig in BAD ENGLISCH and headed for more. I kept on going! putting back together a group with KIp, and deen when he was in towna called mrs beasleys nightmare. and wed play gigs in clubs doin wild dogs and dr mastermind songsi also started to work with MIkkel Brown a shredding player whho i retemaed up with a week after kurt and i did our tv show in 1998. so for all of youpeople who think this is a varney created one time deal- NAW! this is me your friendly narrator and host... I will keep on making music til i kann not no mater who listens or buys,,, or cares - because we do and we have fun making it recording keeps us sane. and thanks to all of you we have a feeling of great satisfaction.
